What was the highlight of Apartamento Eduardo Dato
Seville is a lovely city but we wouldn’t stay in this apartment again
The location was very good, the metro is across the road, taxi’s outside the apartment and cafés and bars across the road. The apartment was a nice size for 4 people to stay in with two bedrooms and a kitchen/living room, bathroom and balcony.
There was a strong smell of bleach when we arrived at the apartment. We were disappointed that there was no kettle to make tea or coffee or even some tea bags/sugar. We had to buy a kettle and tea/coffee/sugar. Some of the dishes were still wet in the presses. There was only one roll of toilet roll to do 4 people for 3 days so we had to buy toilet roll. Even though when we arrived and noticed this we told the host and she just said oh usually there is 2 rolls, but didn’t offer to bring us more. There was no hand towel in the kitchen to dry dishes or even hands and there was no where to put dishes to dry when they were washed. There was no shower mat in the bathroom so we needed to use the bathroom hand towel as a shower mat. The air conditioner was very complicated to use. We originally said we would arrive at 5pm to check in and then the host asked for 6pm, even though check in is advertised for 3pm. So we changed our plans to meet at 6pm. Then at 5.45pm the host rang and said she was running 20minutes late. We were waiting outside the apartment at 6.20pm in the rain for an extra 30minutes so we didn’t get into the apartment until 6.50pm. This was so frustrating as I was ringing and texting the host and she wasn’t answering and we were worried thinking it was all a scam. We requested a check out time of 12pm instead of 11am and we were told no which we found strange considering all the drama we experienced with a late check in!
